  • 1. New Product Development Executive

    Location: Jaspur, Uttarakhand

    Incepted in 2015 as a Dry Pasta & Vermicelli Manufacturer, Zippy Edibles began its operations with an understanding that food brands needed a trustworthy manufacturing partner who cared for the quality of products that they would proudly like to own. We have since expanded our pasta/vermicelli operations at Jaspur, Uttarakhand to include dry pasta, gluten-free pasta and instant pasta, which are all European and BRC-certified.

    With an understanding that some customers are looking for off the shelf products, while others are looking for proprietary formulations, Zippy has set up a pilot scale pasta facility to mimic our production scale setup to work closely with clients, and develop a wide range of in-house products to showcase the possibilities of innovative food products.

    We are looking for R&D executives who can develop formulations and process parameters for innovative pasta, vermicelli and extruded rice products for our existing wide range of machines, including and not limited to instant cup pasta, cup kheer, high nutrition extruded rice, and gluten-free pasta. Due to the uniqueness of our setup in India, these will most likely be one of its kind products available in the Indian market.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Willing to work outside the comforts of the lab and on the production floor for guiding pilot-scale extruder trials.
    - Timely and right execution of product development activities including formulation development, sensory evaluation & R&D documentation.
    - Required to coordinate with flavor houses, clients and in-house staff and iterate as required.
    - Able to understand and communicate to clients matters pertaining to product development.
    - Able to handle basic quality related tasks as per FSSAI such as nutritional labeling, detailing existing processes, sample management etc.

    Qualifications:

    - Familiar with, Product / Process / Technology development, Production, Quality & food safety
    - Should be B. Tech. or M. Tech. in Food technology from a reputed institute/ university.

  • 2. New Product Development Manager

    Location: Rudrapur, Uttarakhand

    Zippy Edibles is setting up a high-moisture extrusion facility to manufacture plant-based texturized protein
    products and focusing on the values that matters most to consumers – taste & price– , to help increase protein
    intake of the Indian population in a sustainable manner. We also seek to make veg-meat value-added products
    that can be readily consumed by customers or can be served to B2B clients.

    We have invested heavily in high moisture extrusion based technology from Europe, which will be used to make a
    texturized protein substrate. This can also be made meaty to replicate chicken or mutton. Further, this substrate
    can be used to make value added products such as high protein nuggets, patties, momos or keema. We seek to
    improve the price and flavor profile significantly for plant-based proteins and increase their consumption on a
    mass scale.

    We have bought samples from Europe on a production scale trial, and developed some incredible products with
    them. These products include chicken products that are indistinguishable from the real thing, or protein rich
    foods that can replicate your favorite veg kebabs. As we come closer to our production in March 2023, we are
    looking for motivated individuals to join our team at Rudrapur and help deliver delicious protein-rich products to
    an Indian population where 80% of the people are protein deficient, and the protein requirements have to be
    sustainable and economical.

    You will be joining as one of the first hires to develop these products at Zippy Edibles, and will be instrumental in
    all product development related activities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Lead scale-up from lab to eventual production
    - Build a team for quality control and product development
    - Timely and right execution of product development activities including formulation development, sensory evaluation, technology transfer & R&D documentation.
    - Required to coordinate with advisors and consultants remotely and iterate as required.
    - Able to handle basic quality related tasks as per FSSAI such as nutritional labeling, detailing existing processes, sample management etc.

    Qualifications:

    - Familiar with, Product / Process / Technology development, Production, Quality & food safety
    - Should be B. Tech. or M. Tech. in Food technology from a reputed institute/ university.
    - Possess excellent interpersonal, analytical, troubleshooting and team building skills with proven ability in establishing quality systems / procedures and planning / managing resources.
    - 2-6 years experience in food, preferably in R&D
    - Experience in ready-to-eat or poultry products is prefered
    - Salary competitive with industry standards for your experience
