Milling & Ingredient Preparation

In-house milling for rice and select specialty grains gives us control over flour freshness and particle size. For specialty products, dedicated milling available when required.

Mixing & Hydration

Precise ratios of flour, water, and additives are mixed under controlled conditions. For multigrain and protein-enriched variants, multiple flours are blended to achieve target nutrition profiles.

Extrusion & Shaping

Four European extruders (Pavan, GEA, Hemaks) shape the dough through bronze or Teflon dies into any pasta format - penne, fusilli, macaroni, vermicelli, or custom shapes. Multiple lines allow parallel production of different products.

Drying or Steam Cooking

Standard pasta enters multi-zone dryers for controlled dehydration. Precooked/instant pasta goes through Italian steam tunnels that pre-gelatinize the starch, cutting consumer cook time from 12-15 minutes to 2-7 minutes.

Quality Control & Packaging

Every batch is tested in our in-house lab for moisture, texture, cooking quality, and food safety. Multiple VFFS packing machines and automated cup packaging lines handle retail, bulk, and cup noodle formats.

What is precooked or instant pasta?+
Our steam cooking process pre-gelatinizes the starch in the pasta, so it cooks much faster for the consumer. Instant pasta rehydrates in 2-3 minutes with just hot water (perfect for cup noodle/pasta formats). Quick-cook pasta cooks in 5-7 minutes vs 12-15 for regular pasta - ideal for HoReCa kitchens that need speed.
Does Zippy do private label pasta manufacturing?+
Private label is our core business. We supply leading QSR chains, national retail brands, D2C food companies, and export customers with their own-brand pasta. We handle formulation, production, and packaging. You get a retail-ready product. Custom shapes, nutrition profiles, and packaging formats are all available.
Can Zippy develop custom pasta shapes and formulations?+
Yes. Our pilot extruder handles small-batch trials (as low as 50 kg) for new shapes, ingredients, or nutrition profiles. Recent custom developments include high-protein chickpea pasta, millet-based multigrain pasta, and instant pasta for cup formats. Development timeline: 2-4 weeks for new formulations.
